Painting - Watercolor On Paper
Description
I had bought some yellow roses for my wife for Valentine's Day and thought a simple arrangement would make a nice painting. I struggled with how large to make the roses in comparison to the vase. In the end, however, I am pleased with the size. I experimented with the new Daniel Smith palette I have assembled and mostly used pigments I have never used before from the company so I wasn't sure how they would react with each other. It was a lot of fun! The original is 9.75"x13.75" in size and is painted on Arches 140# cold-pressed paper.
