Until We Meet Again

Missouri is home to four herds of wild (feral) horses. They are federally managed and the herd size is capped at fifty. Once they top out, older horses are rounded off and adopted by horse lovers. On this September morning, we saw two herds in the same field (about twenty horses in all) and spent about an hour in their presence. As they turned to leave, we all wanted more. We were all grateful, though, for the time we did have with them. Happy trails to you...
