This is a reproduction of “Unloading a Ship on a Seashore by Moonlight” by Albert Bredow. This masterpiece was created by 1899 when the artist was sixty-one years old. It was the year of his death in Moscow. He had been born in Germany and was a stage designer in Riga from 1852. He removed to Moscow four years later and then to Saint Petersburg in 1862. He began his studies with the Saint Petersburg Imperial Art Academy in 1868 and his works were exhibited throughout Germany and Russia. This masterpiece is an oil on canvas and measures 31.6 by 37.4 centimeters. It is in a private collection.
