Under A Shady Tree At Hadlock Pond Acadia National Park
Photograph - Photographs
Lower Hadlock Pond is often over looked while visiting Acadia National Park. It is really beautiful and very picturesque. It's a short walk around, but you can access Norumbega Mountain from the far side of Lower Hadlock Pond. There is also a path leading you to Upper Hadlock Pond. If you decide to take that path, be very careful crossing Route Three. The cars go wicked fast traveling between Northeast Harbor and wherever else they might want to go on Mount Desert Island. After you leave Lower Hadlock Pond, drive down to Northeast Harbor and get some donuts at Colonel's Bakery in Northeast Harbor. They have the best blueberry donuts!
