Description
During the Christmas season many years ago, my aunt and uncle visited our home in a small town in Iowa. My uncle used to smoke a pipe, which gave off a pleasant fruity and sweet aroma that I enjoyed. While I have never been fond of the smell of cigarettes or cigars, the pipe's smoke fascinated me. Uncle entertained us by blowing circular curls of smoke into the air.
I vividly remember the old illustrations of Santa Claus putting presents under the tree, smoking a pipe, and blowing smoke circles. Years later, Uncle would play Santa Claus yearly at the Lutheran church. He was always a great uncle and a great Santa!
