Ulica Piwna Warsaw Old Town
Photograph - Photography And Digital Art
Leave the hustle and bustle of Castle Square behind you and take a stroll along one of Warsaw's oldest and most well known streets, Ulica Piwna. The name translates literally as 'beer street' and as you might expect, there are plenty cozy little bars and restaurants to sample the tasty local Polish brew. Suitably picturesque, complete with wrought iron signs, old wooden doors and pastel facades, this lovely little road in the heart of the old town is delightful, and when walking along it, in the late afternoon of winter, when fairy lights twinkle and a warm glow emanates from the tiny square windows, you really do feel like you have stepped back in time. I hand blended textures with my original photograph to achieve a more painterly style which I felt suited this old world Polish street scene.
