Blue Angels jets perform a spectacular fly-by over San Francisco Bay as part of an air show rehearsal during Fleet Week, October 2016.

The Blue Angels are the United States Navy Flight Demonstration Squadron featuring Navy and Marine Corps jet pilots. Celebrating their 78th anniversary in 2024, the Blue Angels have performed for nearly 500 million people worldwide since 1946. Additionally, each show season the Blue Angels visit more than 50,000 people during school and hospital visits.

San Francisco Fleet Week (SFFW) is an annual public event honoring the contributions of the men and women of the United States Armed Forces. According to the official SFFW website, it is the largest and most significant event of its kind in the U.S. and features a unique training and education program bringing together civilian and military forces to develop and share best practices in humanitarian assistance.

It is imperative that we in America support the rebuilding and strengthening of our military. Indeed, the greatest deterrent to war is a strong defense.

May we honor, respect and support the brave men and women in uniform who have given much and risked their lives so that we may live in freedom.
