Tulip Garden At The Governor's Palace
Artist
Rachel Morrison
Medium

Description
The colonial revival-style Governor's Palace stands majestically at the end of the vibrant Ballroom spring garden adorned with rows of colorful tulips. The picturesque Colonial Williamsburg scene is captured on a sunny April day with clear blue skies, framed by lush greenery and a traditional brick wall on one side.
The Palace, built in 1706 and reconstructed in 1931, served as the official residence of the royal governors of the Colony of Virginia. It was also the home of two post-colonial Virginia governors, Patrick Henry and Thomas Jefferson.
