Tucker is a 9-year-old, fully-grown male, Yellow Lab, belonging to my son's family. Tucker was adopted at 16 weeks old to be a playmate and companion for my son's 2-year-old (at the time) Chocolate Lab, named Bear.
Tucker's playtime with Bear used to be highly energetic, literally running circles around the older alpha male. Today, genetic health problems in each dog's legs have replaced their rough play with more frequent napping and quiet time.
Tucker's favorite place to rest is cuddled up next to my son on a leather couch in his family room. "Tucked" under a Chicago Bears blanket, along with one or more of my granddaughters.
The colorful braided strands, hanging from Tucker's collar are friendship bracelets, lovingly made by my 8-year-old granddaughter, Kathryn Faith.
Tucker is very protective of his family, barking loudly whenever he senses danger. He also likes to sleep in my granddaughters' bedroom, curled up in the center of the floor, or on top of one of their 3 beds.
In fact, Tucker was recently accused of preventing the Tooth Fairy from performing her expected duties. A note, along with some money, found pinned to my granddaughter's school backpack in the morning, explained: "Allison, your dog would not let me near your pillow last night!"

Thank you very much Lingfai! This digital painting is a compilation of several photos, digitally composed, and electronically rendered, using special photo editing software. At this small preview size it is hard to distinguish from a photo. Enlarged, however, one can better appreciate the electronic brush strokes.
