Description
At the lower end of Lemon Hill in Mylor Bridge Cornwall, nestled between the village shop and butchers, is Tremayne Hall with its distinctive clock tower.
Built in in 1827 by a local benefactor and landowner, Sir Charles Lemon of Carclew Estate, it started life as a poorhouse providing a home for local paupers, but later went on to become a village school, a church hall and now it is the village hall.
Upstairs holds the local historical archives, downstairs the various rooms are used daily for everything from pilates to film nights and it is the heart of the Mylor Bridge community.
