Very beautiful scene ... love that gold and blue ... and the contrast of the geometric against the natural. I wonder what the meaning of the wheel structures is ... especially overlooking a battleground of Native Americans. As in the hard feelings know no end? Interesting!!! l/f t
Monte Arnold replied:
Thank you so much Lois! I think a big part of this wheel is influenced heavily by the railway history in the area (actually some very dark stuff there, includes the poor Chinese folks that were utilized to make the North American railway).

Are these really train wheels just lying there in the field? That's incredible. Looks like a hot summer day, where you just want to lie in the hay and let the world go by. Nicely done! :-) Maggie
Monte Arnold replied:
๐๐๐๐คThe wheel is right out there, but it's actually an oversized sculpture about 200 yards from the museum in Lethbridge... Pretty much the best location in town overlooking Indian Battle Park, a historical site of a longstanding battle between the Blackfoot and..and the Cree tribes. Apparently, it's still a bone of contention even now, 150 years later.
