“Trabalho Mas Não Tanto” is a portuguese phrase which means “I work but not much”. It is about the art of doing nothing, of being bored, where the great creativity comes from. The art of having a meditative mind as a lifestyle and not as mere exercise.

This photo was taken without lens. It is a long exposure pinhole portrait. It is part of my pinhole portrait photograph project using continuous light in the studio. The photo exposure for this type of image takes between 1 and 7 minutes depending on the light, film negative and film development process.

The film was handcrafted before being digitized. For this reason they are not meant to be perfect like digital images. You will likely find scratches, fingerprints and dust spots in the photo just as you would find in my optic prints. I call it the rustic look. It all belongs to analog charme and art.
