I painted this watercolor townhouse portrait commission of a beautiful townhome in a picturesque neighborhood of Toronto, Ontario, Canada with a charming autumn view.
I used four images sent by my client as reference photos for this fall town house watercolor painting commission. The challenge was to use the reference photos to compose the painting without including the other units of the townhouse complex. Also, the beautiful Victorian details were very time-consuming to paint and especially challenging to get the perspective right. I love a good challenge!
My client, a Toronto area realtor, was presenting this house portrait as a memory gift to her client, the owner of this home which she had recently sold.
