Description

This abstract still life is a closeup of a tropical foliage plant found at a botanical gardens. I was attracted by the symmetry and lines of color. The curved leaves narrowing to their sharp points and the red around the edges created a pleasing abstract. The gold variegation also adds to the color and patterns. Other than a slight bit of manipulation to bring out some of the blue, the image is as I saw it.

I am an exhibiting artist in southwest Florida, and my art has been exhibited in galleries in Florida, Georgia and North Carolina and is in collections nationwide. I create abstract photography, mixed media photo painting, acrylic mixed media, and acrylic paintings. Many would make great decorative throw pillows or shower curtains.
