The Sea Always Wins.
The sea is more powerful than it seems. For centuries, man has tried time and again to do battle with Mother Nature only to find the great power of natural forces overwhelmingly superior. Man has had many successes too though, but have chosen to respect that which they cannot tame.
This little boat appears to be one that enjoyed many successes, but respect for the sea has allowed it safe passage to shore.
Perhaps this is because this beach belongs to a small island, where people concern themselves daily on the temper of the sea?
The island is called Rathlin Island and lies only a short distance from Ballycastle, on the northeastern coast of Ireland/Northern Ireland.
The island has many virtues, boasting of a very large number of seabird colonies, especially in the spring/summer nesting season.
I highly recommend a visit if youβre in the area, but a day trip wonβt do it enough justice, unless youβre a regular visitor.
