The wonderful deep tones do lend a rather sinister light to The Rock, nicely captured! L/F

I love the lighting effect and your skill in making this capture, Joe! But the sight of this place if I were to get too close to it, would tend to make me draw my back up like a wild cat and back away, because I feel the hair standing on the back of my neck when I study this place! I do believe that Dave might be right when he said that the place is "haunted" in some way! I do think that the place has been cursed, at least historically, personally! However, some new life could possibly be breathed into this place to undo it! I think that the "bones" of this architectural fortress are salvageable! Perhaps, someone with a new vision could repurpose this place and make it work for some good yet! Love your work, Joe! Fave! L/F!

I hear you and I would be a bit apprehensive at first but thousands of people tour it every week so I would go see it and I agree they could use it for something besides a tourist trap lol Thank you for your support I always enjoy looking at your work as well

A hauntingly beautiful photograph Joe...I watched a recent documentary on Discovery channel called the "Haunting of Alcatraz". This photo would seem to lend creedence to the program..it is spooky looking...L/F
