Interesting story. I went into the old garage to find a tool. On my way through the garage, I just happened to look in the back of an old truck that is being restored. I wasn't sure what I was looking at, so I opened the big garage door to get better light. When I went back and looked in the truck bed, I was surprised. MUSHROOMS...Just perfectly growing there in the back of the truck bed. I ran back into the house, grabbed my camera and ran back to the garage.Really, RAN. I climbed into the bed of the truck and started taking photos. I wasn't too happy with how they were turning out. Then I realized if I wanted to get the image that I had in my head, I was going to have to lay on the floor of the truck and get eye level with the mushrooms. When I did, I got this! WAHOO! Mission accomplished.
Many people who see this photo are confused. They ask me all sorts of questions. The funniest one was asked my a professional photographer friend of mine. She asked me in all seriousness, how did I manage to pose those mushrooms so perfectly in the studio! I explained to her that the trucks sides were blue and the bed boards were red. It just worked out perfectly. I have also been asked if I was trying to make them look like they were on Mars. What ever works for you....ENJOY!
