This is a painting I did in 1977. The creative spark or creative mind is compared to the moment of the creation of Adam by God from Michelangelo's Sistine Chapel fresco. The hands of Adam and God are superimposed over the forehead of Michelangelo. Michelangelo's portrait is drawn from a Renaissance likeness.

This is simply brilliant in the message it conveys, Michele! I love how you have depicted one of my most favorite images of all times, "The Creation of Adam by God" from the Renaissance period surrounding this Master of Art's exceptional mind! It must have been absolutely amazing in 1989 when the ceilings adorned with his marvelous paintings were finally cleaned of the effects of years of smoke in the Sistine Chapel! Suddenly, now all of his brilliant palette and composition could be clearly seen and brought to light after years of being almost "in the dark", figuratively speaking! Now, they can be appreciated for generations to come! Love this! Fave! L/F!
