Description
A Great Spotted Woodpecker takes a laid back approach to feeding in my garden. It is quite a big bird to hang onto a fat ball, but it has found the best way to keep it's balance. Woodpeckers are not frequent visitors to my garden, but it is always nice to get a chance to see these beautiful black, white and red birds up close instead of high up in a tree in the forest, pecking away at the bark of a tree.
