Description
I would like people to see me as the girl from Tennessee. True I am simple but make no mistake far from simple minded. I love people, animals, nature, flowers, art, music, literature, learning about the whole world and not just the wold I exist in, and the people of all countries. I rarely meet a person who is a stranger to me and seldom if ever dislike anyone.
I was raised poorer than a church mouse in the country and yet never wanted for anything. I had the world at my beck and call even as a child, all animals were my pets, all my siblings were what I called My Babies. So this great love started when I first became aware of people and animals and the great outdoors.
I appear simple minded to many but that is my armour I wear. I am highly intelligent, will take on any job big or small, nasty or clean and never think I am to good to do it. I do as my father taught me from toddler age, "When you tell someone you will do a job go into it with good intentions, do it to the very best of your abilities and always give 110% and if you are not going to do it correctly don't do it at all or if you don't know how, learn and then do it the best you can."
Father's Day is coming up and My heart goes out in thanks to all FATHERS AROUND THE WORLD, this is a time of celebration and a time to SHOW THANKS AND GRATEFULNESS to the Dad's who gave their all to support, work and cherish us. THANK YOU DAD'S, YOU ARE ALL SO AWESOME AND MARVELOUS IN YOUR CHILDREN'S EYES.
The little girl from Tennessee who loves to laugh and joke with others did this redo of a portrait for my own Daddy. Although gone in body, he lives on in spirit and wow what a huge loving soul he left behind. Bless you Dear Daddy.
I hate self portraits with a passion but the day my lovely sister Mary and I went to the mall for a day of fun shopping and not really buying anything but window shopping, we stopped at one of those Glamour places and had photos made. What fun, I laughed until black mascara smeared all over my eyes and we both ended up looking like RACCOONS and not in the least bit glamourous. :-)
True we stopped people in the mall with our looks but it was mostly in shock. LOL And finally we turned to one another and asked at the same time, "WHY ARE PEOPLE STARING AT US" and oh my then the laughter turned loose as we pointed at one another and hooted, you look like a raccoon. So it wasn't our overwhelming beauty at all they were staring at but our horrible choice of makeup.
So I kept these hid away in a drawer for years except one my husband kept on the nightstand much to my dismay. I'd often turn it face down or backwards only to find he picked it up and set it right again. Musical photo game Folks.
So HAPPY FATHER'S DAY and BLESS YOU DAD'S all around the world for loving the greatest gifts a parent will ever receive, YOUR CHILDREN.
Blessings, Debra
