Description
I made this many years ago. I love it. A few of my friends and Facebook followers love it. So I asked a professional photographer friend for help in photographing it. Joy Bailey of Joy Bailey Imaging did a beautiful job photograping my pieces.
I did this piece about 6 years ago, I want to say. I am a beach comber and a sea glass hunter. When I'm on the beaches, I find a lot feathers as well. I collect them too. I began dyeing the feathers, painting the seashells and assembling the cross. I was inspired by my Native American ancestors, even though I don't know who they are or what tribe(s) we're from. I have a strong attachment to nature and I wanted to bring that out in this cross. The cross part represents my other ancestors Spaniard and Mexican (among many others). I like to think I brought all my ancestors together in this one piece.
