PD: Reproduction of 1926 painting by Scottish painter John Bullock Souter: b. 1890. d. 1972. Scottish painter of genre and varied scenes. This painting of a jazz musician and a nude female dancer upon public view caused a British, and International uproar reaching governmental attention. The original painting was destroyed by the painter although his work was defended by fellow expressionistic artists. Souther retained drawing studies of the original.
