Description
The birthplace of Pepsi - Cola may be found on the corner of Pollock and Middle Streets in New Bern,NC.
It was originally known as the 'Bradham Drug Company' and was owned and operated by Caleb Bradham. It later was renamed as 'Bradhams Pharmacy'.
As with most drug stores in that era, it had a soda fountain.
In the early 1890's Mr. Bradham invented a soda and called it Brad's Drink. In 1898 it was renamed as Pepsi Cola and the marketing and distribution through franchises began.
