Description
For a fisherman, these laughing gulls are a welcome sight. Where ever they find a large cluster of them there are probably bait fish near by. And where there are bait fish the fisherman will usually find the fish they seek like trout, snook or redfish Laughing gulls(leucophaeus atricilla) are seen on beaches, docks and parking lots along the coast from New England down to the southeastern United States, around to Mexico, the Caribbean,Central America and South America as far as Peru. A coastal species, leucophaeus atricilla is only occassionally seen inland and is a summer visitor to New England and occassionally Western Europe.
