And so, Steve, here is the edible, “Cream Tea” for six which was inspired by your lovely painting, hosted last year and posted today...apologies for my “slightly delayed” response...:-)...older moments. Your work is always inspiring. https://fineartamerica.com/featured/edible-sea-inspired-tea-laurel-adams.html?newartwork=true

Steve Henderson replied:

You fulfilled your vision most elegantly and thoughtfully, Laurel. Congratulations! I am most honored indeed that the artwork Tea By The Sea could inspire such creativity in your soul and generosity of spirit to share that creation with those around you: a wonderful, straight forward way in which to bring joy and light into the lives of others. Thank you for sharing. Bravo!

This piece always draws me back, Steve! On seeing earlier interchanges, I am aware that I did not post my actual “Tea by the Sea” response back in real time. The year, 2018 posed a difficult health picture for me, spilling into 2019; the reference photograph is in the final half hour pre-tea; however, I will make good on my promise and will post my amateur photograph ...more to follow.

Most wonderful still life art on the subject + L f Tw

Steve Henderson replied:

Thank you, Basant. A still life is just that: it is quiet and peaceful. Arrange a few favorite items together under directed lighting, put on the music, pull out the paints and enjoy the process -- a very direct, relaxing genre.

Beauty of a scene so well preserved by a master hand...

Steve Henderson replied:

I really appreciate your comment, Jim. Thank you. This scene incorporated two elements important to us: tea, representing time to sit and relax and contemplate; and the sea, where one can think clearly and stroll alongside a resounding surf.

Love the painting, love the description...love the concept! I don’t think we have ever done a “Sea” themed tea before...would you mind if that became a reality next year?

Steve Henderson replied:

I appreciate those comments, Laurel. If this piece can inspire a sea-themed tea, by all means make it a reality. Just send a photo of the tea so we can share.
