The red and green canoes sit on the rack, along Taskinas Creek at York River State Park , in James City County, Virginia. York River State Park has 2,536 acres along the 3.5 miles of the York River, where is a part of the National Estuarine Research Reserve Virginia. Taskinas Creek is a small tributary of the York River, where people have the option to kayak or canoe along the creek.

I stopped at the Virginia State Park to explore on an early overcast morning. The marsh along Taskinas Creek was a golden brown color for the last days of winter.
