Vista, CA - United States

What a sweet and beautiful face. Fabulous capture.

Carol Senske replied:

He is a darling boy:>). We've had him for about four years now and just yesterday he jumped up into my lap for the first time. He likes being on the bed when our other cat lets him, and he loves being brushed:>). His personality is as sweet as the day is long.

East Berlin, PA - United States

What an adorable shot - LOVE it. f/l

Carol Senske replied:

He is a loving, gentle giant at over 17 pounds:>). Is he fat? Well, maybe "pudgy", but still quick to run and play. Thanks for loving him!

So cute and content. l/f

:>). Thank you.

He's gorgeous. And he looks pretty chilled, must be comfortable around you. Lovely image and story.

Carol Senske replied:

Now he's completely comfortable with me and my husband - scared to pieces by anyone else. He even comes onto the bed at night sometimes and takes his share out of the middle! I wish I knew what his life was like before he adopted us.

Stockholm, Sw - Sweden

This is so sweet!! :)

Carol Senske replied:

He's comfortable with us now and spends nights in the house. He still loves outside best, but likes to please so he comes when called:>)

So lovely, Mother Nature! You mentioned about taking in feral cats and advised having "some idea of what you will face". I've taken in close to a dozen of these wonderful creatures and the expense and worry and difficulties were significant but if I could go back in time, I wouldn't do anything differently. As I'm sure you would agree, knowing the incredible difference you are making in their lives is worth all of it!

Carol Senske replied:

Anyone who rescues any animal from cat to dog to horse to snake to pig is a hero in my eyes:>) . I only want to have people prepared, and ready, for the blips that will occur so they don't give up, return the animal, and are discouraged from doing it again. My blog posts were for that purpose, and to encourage folks to open their homes and hearts to these amazing animals. I swear they know you've given them a home and show their appreciation every minute of every day. Bob is the gentlest, sweetest, and most adorable cat. He still doesn't want to be picked up. I work with him on that but haven't made a lot of headway. He may be still in my arms for about 30 seconds, but that is a stretch. Still, he has NEVER scratched or bitten me on purpose, not even when he was struggling to get down when we need to go to the vet. I got caught with a hind claw as he flailed madly to escape going into the carrier, but it was an accident. Our other boy, Spot, is an imperious, intrepid cat that fears nothing and no one, while Bob will hide when strangers are in the house. Both cats will come up on the sofa with us, and Bob sometimes will get on the bed, but Spot owns the bed and, as the dominant cat, chastises Bob for his impertinence when he dares to do that. YES - THEY ARE WORTH EVERY TRIAL, EVERY TRIBULATION, AND EVERY LOVING MOMENT! Thank you for taking in the feral kitties - that is such a kind and loving thing to do:>)
