These pink flowers decorate the creek banks in New Mexico.
This image was taken near Montezuma, New Mexico, USA, close to a creek and natural hot spring. Many of the visitors were taking a quick 10 minute swim in the cold creek at the bottom of the hill. Then, they would rush to the top of the hill and jump into the hot spring for another 10 minutes. Some of the travelers were hoping for a medicinal effect from all the minerals in the hot spring. I was happy just to see the wild, lush vegetation covering the muddy slope. The colors were vibrant and glorious!
