Sunset And Cypress
Photograph - Photography
From my neighbors back yard thru the Bald Cypress Trees festooned with Spanish Moss, looking across what should be a water filled Alligator Lake, was this colorful sunset. The lake is finally beginning to fill back up after a few days of good rain. Alligator Lake, the north end, goes dry about every five years drained by several sink holes, one that is really large and when the lake goes dry like this is becomes a 'gator hole. The lake drains to Ichetucknee Springs which is a mecca for kayakers and tubers during the summer months.
