Title
Sunrise At Cavasso Creek
Artist
Sue Bonnar
Medium
Painting - Acrylic On Canvas
Description
Cavasso Creek is located in the southwestern section of the Aransas National Wildlife Refuge, home of several unique animals including the Whooping Crane. As I travel around Texas, there are days when the sky is so beautiful you just have to stop and take photos, hoping to catch that fire show that only nature can provide. As I was traveling north on highway 35 over Cavasso Creek, I was lucky enough to see such a sunrise and decided that I should paint that scene. There are always birds feeding in that area and I did take the liberty of adding spoonbills and whoopers - spoonbills are one of my favorites (Texas Flamingoes as we call them). Anytime you can see Whooping Cranes is special, and I am lucky enough to see them every year when they migrate down to this region.
The original is acrylic on a 20x24 canvas and is for sale.
Thanks so much for visiting!
