The Sun and Moon Pagodas stand in the Shanhu lake in the city of Guilin, China. They are also known as Gold and Silver Pagodas because of their colors at night.
The Sun Pagoda is made of bronze, while the Moon Pagoda is made of colored glaze. The Sun Pagoda is 9 stories high and is the world’s highest bronze pagoda. The Moon Pagoda is 7 stories high. The two pagodas are linked by a tunnel under the lake.
