Description
Storm Front is a re-work of a color image (entitled "Storms Coming"), edited for a little bit of dark drama. Going to grayscale changes the mood quite a bit, and I've added a slightly mottled overlay that adds a bit of a vintage look, and emphasizes the misty, rainy atmosphere over the valley.
The image was taken from the Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park, north of Waynesboro, Virginia, USA. It was still sunny to the east, but afternoon storm clouds were rolling in rapidly over the Shenandoah Valley below us.
