Akron, Ohio's Stan Hywet Hall & Gardens at Christmas time. Stan Hywet is an American Country Estate on North Portage Path in Akron, Ohio. The estate was built between 1912 and 1915 by F. A. Seiberling, founder of the Goodyear Tire and Rubber Company. The name Stan Hywet means "stone quarry". Visitors can tour Stan Hywet's hall and gardens daily, including the fine greenhouse, the Corbin Conservatory.
