Painting - Watercolor On Rtistx Bd
I love to make up bird nests! I found that trying to copy them was blinding. So unnecessary, when each one is totally different. So why not make up one of my own? For many years I taught my students how to do this on watercolor paper, but now I am painting my wataercolors on Rtistx Board, Watercolor Canvas and Claybord. They need to be sealed with a UV spray so that the color remain vibrant. There is no need to put them under a mat or glass because the spray protects them from the elements. I usually frame them in Plein Air frames without a mat. But the choice is certainly for the person who buys them. If I paint them on watercolor canvas, it is usually painted with a "gallery wrap", which means that it is painted around the edges of the stretcher bars. If one orders a print from this website, it can also be printed on canvas with a "mirror" wrap which means the painting extends around the stretchers.
