A late spring snowstorm arrived in Grand Teton National Park in mid-May leaving the trees and ground covered with a few inches of wet snow. Running in her previous haunts, the grizzly bear, known as Blondie, was spotted perusing the area for food with triplets. The three cubs are not "coy" or "cubs of the year" but rather yearlings. Blondie had not been spotted the previous year and now, the reason is obvious.
A far ranging predator the grizzly bear can travel miles in one day and has little or no tolerance for other bears and humans. One must exercise extreme caution when in bear country for they are wild animals and unpredictable. Fewer animals are more dangerous than a bear with cubs.
