A precious moment when God seems nearer! All babies, whether human or animal, are innocent. Good that you did not touch it, as the scent of humans can cause mothers to reject their offspring.

Thanks, Kathryn, for your kind words. I did further research and found quotes from deer experts saying it's OK to carefully move a fawn if it is in harm's way. Otherwise, yes, best not to touch. Blessings.
