Description
This a live oak. It is a native plant in Florida that grows on relatively high and dry ground called a hammock. The Seminole Indians used to seek out hammock to live at. The United States thought that they could chase the Seminole into the swamp and they would not survive. They not only survived but are the only tribe not to sign a treaty with the US government.
