Description
The speckled, or brook trout, is one of the most coveted species of fish by sports fishermen. It is also known to be a tasty fish. The Brook trout is marbled above, with reddish belly and fins, black and white stripes on its lower fins, and red spots scattered across its sides. Speckled trout are freshwater fish that are indigenous to eastern U.S. and Canada. This one was photographed swimming in Lac aux Americains in Parc national de la Gaspésie, Quebec, Canada in the summer. A painting filter has been applied.
