Description
Sounds of Blue is a digital composition based on the manipulation of many layers of photographs of the sea taken at different times of the day. This is part of a series of works inspired by both the patterns and colors created by the movement of water and the play of light upon it as well as the range of sounds made by water as it moves. Calm lapping of turquoise blue waters, soporific under a lazy sun slowly change to vivid blues and purples, pinks, orange and gold as evening sets in and again at sunrise. Under cloudy skies, grays and silver add weight to slowly moving rivers and be honest, who has never thrown a pebble and watched the resulting ripples move over the surface of a pond.
