As I was walking one morning at the Gilbert Water ranch in Gilbert,Arizona
I saw this Snowy Egret flying and then perching on atop the trees,I have read that the Snowy Egret (Egretta thula) can measure 61 centimetres (24 in) long and weigh 3.75 kilograms (8.3 lb) when I saw this Egret perched on this branch I wondered how long there wingspread can be.I also marveled at how this bird was keeping his balance so well.

Every year the AZ Game and Fish dept. runs a contest that accepts submissions from photographers all over the United States of Game and fish that they have taken photos of in Arizona.My first time submitting photos was in 2012 and I was honored to have them chose my simple shot of a shorebird as their cover shot winner.
