This image combined from two photos of real snowflakes, captured in January 2015 and November 2016. These snow crystals have similar structure: simple straight arms without branches and big hexagonal centers, formed by six wide sectors with elegant inner patterns. Snowflake at the left also have unusual ring of thin, transparent icy "petals" around center.
These two photos with same background and lighting was easy to combine into one picture. You can find these snowflakes separately in galleries "All snowflakes" and "Dark snowflakes".
