This Monarch seemed to be playing hide and seek with me in my Ohio garden. He fluttered quickly from flower to flower and would disappear behind tall grasses and trees. I too, tried to be sneaky and walked as quietly as my flip-flops allowed! My big concern is always my dog, Sunny bouncing through and chasing a perched butterfly before I can at least snap one or two shots!

I peeked around a tall and very wide grass to discover this scene. Ah ha! Mr Monarch thought he was hidden in the shadow stripes. I got two clicks of the shutter and he was gone . . . and off we all went on our summer game of butterfly tag in the garden!
