Description
The latter stages of tornado near Sanford, Kansas as seen across the fields at sunset on May 18, 2013. This tornado was the last of a few twisters in the areas near Rozel and Sanford, Kansas, all of which were produced by the same supercell. The strongest tornado of the group was rated as an EF4 on the Enhanced Fujita Scale (which ranges from EF0 (weakest) to EF5 (strongest) by the National Weather Service in Dodge City, Kansas, with estimated maximum wind speeds ranging between 165-185 mph. Fortunately, there were no injuries.
