Ah...the view to Sand Beach from The Beehive Mountain has eluded me for years. I have seen this view from photographs only, but a day before the New Year, I hiked up the backside of The Beehive from Gorham Mountain. It was an exhilarating hike and one that I will gladly do again. I will not hike up the front of The Beehive because it is rather steep and I am actually very afraid of heights. Going up the backside is a pleasant hike and I was able to take in the view! And what a view it is to behold.
