This beautiful historical landmark is the San Fernando Cathedral, one of the oldest active cathedrals in the United States! Facing east towards the city of San Antonio, the church lies at the west side of the Main Plaza, across from the Bexar County Courthouse and east of the San Antonio City Hall.
I had always wanted to make an image of this Gothic masterpiece, but never had gotten the chance, always favoring shooting the Riverwalk or the San Antonio Skyline. Finally, during the advent of Christmas, I decided to park my car a couple of blocks west and run to the Main Plaza so as to not lose the little remaining light in the sky. Arming my camera with my architectural lens, I calculated the exposure at 4 seconds and fire away! Thanks for looking! FAA watermark WILL NOT show up on final printed image!
