A band of the Salt River Wild Horses in Arizona, crossing the Salt River in the warm sunlight.
These magnificent animals live free and forage the river for Eel grass that grows abundantly on the river bottom. They are unique in that they snorkel under the water with their heads to eat the grasses. It's amazing to see how fit and healthy they are and how they have survived for many decades.
