.....
A rusty old vintage Chevrolet pickup truck abandoned in a field on an old farm field in Vermont. A vintage American made Chevrolet pickup truck rusting away on a Vermont farm.
....
In rural area where there were no dumps and plenty of land. Farmers simply left the equipment to rot where it drew its last breath. These "decorations" dot the landscape of rural America unless fortunes fade to the point of needing the scrap metal funds or gentlemen farmers move in from the Big City and clean up the fields.
.....
I came home broken and busted up
.....
I damned that old pickup truck
.....
To hell and back with every step I took
.....
I lost a another battle with it
.....
At the worst of times
.....
It sits sunning itself down the road
.....
And it refuses to start again on this day"

Seem like the older they are the more more characher they have. Wonderful photo and perfect effects.
Edward Fielding replied:
I feel the same. They didn't worry about gas mileage or being aerodynamic. Thanks!

Great processing on this iconic image of a chevy pickup. What's amazing is how good the chrome grid and head lamps (?) look.
Orchard Park, NY - United States
like the added rust in the sky to fill up the emptiness cool idea vyd
Pretoria, Ga - South Africa
Wonderful capture, sadly reminds me that all things have a set time and then all ends. Nice jobv

I love this thing! I'm a sucker for rust anyhow, and this just whets my appetite. I love what you've done with the sky, and the poem fits perfectly. sadly, it reminds me of more than one of my own experiences. f/v
