I chose to do this photography with the leaves positioned partially in front of this pretty bloom, and peeking from behind it are two of the buds that are preparing to open. I darkened the background in this photograph because the sun was falling strongly on the right hand side and I wanted to cut some of the glare. The center of this flower is a dark red with yellow.
