When I first starting working at Ford Motor Company back in 1979, I met a fascinating man who became like an adopted brother to me. His name is Paul Bassa Jr. and he has always affectionately called me "Root Beer" because my initials are AW. Ironically, back then, A&W Root Beer was one of my favorite drinks. Even to this day, Paul refers to me as "Root Beer"... he's really the only person who calls me by that name... but any other name from him just doesn't sound right... *I'm Root Beer! A Root Beer who loves music... and ART!*
