This rooster with his beautiful plumage was happy to pose while I made his portrait. The Dorking chicken is an ancient breed first developed in England. This area was famous for producing high quality poultry for the table; the five-toed Dorking having been the most sought after of chickens. It is the town of Dorking for which the breed was named.
